Associate Scrum MasterPhiladelphia, PA (4 days on-site)Contract to hireWe are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Scrum Master to join our growing team. If you are passionate about Agile methodologies, teamwork, and coaching teams, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities:Supporting Scrum Teams:• Facilitation of Scrum ceremonies (Sprint planning, Daily stand-ups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective)• Collaborate with the Product Owner and development team to ensure a clear understanding of product backlog items.• Help maintain and update team boards, burndown charts and other Scrum artifacts.Team Collaboration:• Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team culture.• Demonstrate, encourage and facilitate open communication among team members.• Assist in identifying and resolving conflicts/impediments that hinder team’s progress.Continuous Improvement:• Facilitate engaging retrospective meetings to identify areas of improvements.• Contribute to the implementation of process improvements based o by acting as a team coach.Metrics and Reporting:• Assist in tracking and reporting key performance and flow metrics, such as velocity, throughput, cycle time and release burn-up.• Generate and maintain project progress reports for stakeholders.Training and Onboarding:• Help onboard new team members to Agile principles and practices.• Provide guidance and support to team members as they adapt to Agile methodologies.Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement:• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their expectations and to help coach the product owner and scrum team on the optimal ways of working.• Work with project managers and product owners to deliver meaningful information/reports to stakeholders.• Communicate team health updates, challenges, and wins to leadership.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience• Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.• Familiarity with project management tools and software. Jira experience is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:• Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent).• Experience working in an Agile environment.• Knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Kanban, XP, etc.).• Previous experience in a software development or IT environment.
