Summary
Brooksource is looking to hire a Software Engineer to work with one of our Fortune 30 clients in the Retail/Building Materials industry. This engineer will have the opportunity to support a highly visible order processing/check out application that processes $16B in products annually. You will be part of a dynamic team of engineers of all experience levels and be a key part of the application design and development.
This will be a heavy development role, so technologists are urged to apply!
Responsibilities
• Working within a system built within Java framework and React/Redux
• 50% Delivery and Execution – Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains software, with a clear understanding of the value the software is to provide;
Takes a broad view when approaching issue;
Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances;
Develops test suites (functional, destructive, etc) to enable success, rapid deployment of code to production.
• 10% Learns and Grows – Actively seeks ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.
• 20% Plans and Aligns – Creates new and better ways for the organization to be successful;
Delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences;
Works the Product Team to ensure user stories are developer ready, easy to understand and testable;
Collaborates with other team members in agile processes.
• 20% Supports and Enables – Fields questions from product and engineering teams;
Helps provide guidance on modern software development frameworks, and leading technical discussions;
Notes gaps on the team and provides suggestions for changes to make the team more productive.
Requirements
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Java/Spring Boot framework and React/Redux
• Proficient in a front-end technology and framework such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS
• Proficient in a cloud computing platform (GCP) and the associated automation patterns they provide
• Proficient in modern microservice-based architectures and methodologies
• Proficient in successful application of design patterns
• Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful web services
