Job Title: Senior SQL DeveloperJob Type: 12 Month ContractLocation: 100% Remote (EST Working Hours)Industry: Healthcare (Pharmacy)Job Overview:Our enterprise healthcare client is searching for a Senior SQL Developer to join their new Analytics & Reporting team. This group will operate under a larger technical business unit supporting the integration, data integrity, and scalability of a new pharmacy network. We are looking for a candidate to provide expert technical leadership, guidance, and support in complex SQL functions and Microsoft SQL Server architecture, including table indexes, index statistics, query optimization, and database/table maintenance. This includes expert ability in all SQL fundamentals and ability to write highly complex SQL queries from scratch.• Prior healthcare industry experience is required.• Prior pharmacy industry/project experience is very highly preferred.• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.• Experience with Redshift or PostgreSQL is a huge plus.• Experience with Oracle is a plus.• Experience with Git for version control is a plus.• Proficiency in server-side coding for database-heavy applications.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Your Day at a Glance:• Own development of SQL Development and performance optimization.• Implement and maintain database architecture, including table indexes and statistics, ensuring optimal performance.• Utilize tools for query optimization and performance tuning to enhance overall database performance.• Perform database and table maintenance tasks using appropriate tools and techniques.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.• Provide expertise and guidance on database design and best practices to junior developers and team members.• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in SQL/Database technologies and incorporate them into projects where applicable.About Eight Eleven Group (Parent Company of Brooksource):At Eight Eleven, our business is people.
