About the Role
As a Release Engineer, you will be responsible for working with the product development and operations teams to build tools and systems for continuous integration, testing, and release via rapid, reproducible builds and deployments from source control.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our deployment pipeline. This includes ensuring that our software can be deployed smoothly and efficiently to both cloud infrastructure and on-premise environments. You will also collaborate with the engineering team to properly track dependencies and apply upgrades to software components and operating systems as needed.
As a release engineer, you will also be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for the release process. This may include documentation on how to build and deploy software, as well as documentation on any tools or scripts used in the process. You will also be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, including developers and testers, to ensure that the release process is running smoothly. In addition, you may be responsible for setting up and configuring continuous integration, testing, and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build and deployment process.
