Bumble is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and proactive, Associate Manager, City Marketing to build Bumble’s brand as the leading relationships and social networking app in the United States.

The Associate Manager, City Marketing will help drive word-of-mouth awareness and visibility through unique, creative, and strategic events and activations in the US & Canada. Leaning on their knowledge of what’s relevant and keeping a pulse on cultural trends, they’ll deliver on-the-ground experiences that put Bumble at the center of dating culture in local cities.
Based in the United States and reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, City Marketing, this individual will foster affinity with our key audiences to drive awareness and demand for the Bumble app. This position will closely collaborate with PR/Comms, Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Creative Studio, Social, Talent and Influencer, and other cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do:
- Contribute to a comprehensive event marketing roadmap that aligns with the interests of our key audiences and product roadmap. Incorporate data-driven insights and establish clear goals for every event to drive awareness for Bumble
- Own the planning, coordination, and execution of key events, including IRL events, Singles Nights, Run Clubs, sponsorship events, and experiential pop ups
- Leverage effective amplification tactics including strategic invite approach and extension of IRL events to broader audiences via social media and influencer tactics
- Assist the Senior Manager, City Marketing in managing the day to day operations of Bumble’s City Marketing, including budget management, opportunity vetting, and contract development
- Maintain a rolling event calendar and manage day-to-day operations of multiple events simultaneously, ensuring visibility into key milestones for each event
- Understand, track, and manage city specific trends, insights and competitive landscape; provide recommendations on how to City Marketing efforts
- Develop post-activity follow ups and recaps: gathering reports, collating photos, and retargeting. Identify, test, adapt, and amplify best practices; share learnings across marketing teams
About You:
- 3+ years of professional experience in marketing-related experience. An example of related experience could include event execution, content marketing, social media marketing, ambassador marketing, etc.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing data to drive actionable insights to develop marketing strategies and plans
- You have a strong pulse on cultural zeitgeist and connection to culture in large US cities, with a wide network
- You are both creative and strategically-minded and can localize a marketing strategy to hit or exceed KPIs
- You're experienced in managing through Google Drive, with substantial experience and confidence using Google Sheets and/or Excel
- You have excellent business operations management including updating, creating, and streamlining processes to drive efficiencies, managing and tracking budgets, building executive presentations and reports to tell a compelling and comprehensive story
- You have a drive to make things happen, strong emotional intelligence to collaborate with others, and build relationships at all levels
- You embody the Bumble brand and are passionate about the Bumble brand vision and values
- You possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- You are a self-starter: you thrive on taking ownership of initiatives with limited oversight and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- You have excellent time management and you know how to manage multiple priorities, breaking large projects into manageable pieces
- You are a problem solver and a forward thinker, approaching teamwork with a 'can-do' attitude and a flexible approach
$63,000 - $85,000 a year
Base Compensation Range: $63,000 - $77,000. For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location. This position is also typically eligible to participate in our short- and long-term incentive programs. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, Unlimited Paid Time Off Policy.
