Business Analyst (Part-time Contract) - Remote

Agot is a mid-sized artificial intelligence (AI) startup based in Pittsburgh. We're building a camera AI product that will change the future of work. Agot Retina provides labor support and training, reduces waste, and "spellchecks" errors in real time.

We are seeking a talented and driven Business Analyst with strong SQL skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing raw data, deriving insights by coming up with hypotheses and testing them, and creating visually appealing and informative dashboards. This role requires a keen analytical mind, strong SQL skills, and a flair for storytelling through data visualization.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze raw data to find patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Develop hypotheses based on initial data analysis and design tests to validate them.
• Use SQL to manipulate and analyze large data sets to answer business questions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights to key stakeholders.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for various business functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong SQL skills are a must.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Knowi, Sisence, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with large data sets and extract meaningful insights.
• Experience in hypothesis testing and statistical analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
