Business Analyst for Milk Supply Chain

The Business Analyst is part of our Milk Sourcing & Analytics team. The primary objective of this position is to provide analytical support and insights to our milk supply team, which will enhance the team’s ability to make real-time, data driven decisions.

This role requires strong analytical and data management skills. Thinking outside of the box, navigating ambiguity, and developing creative supply chain solutions using data.

Location: This position is listed as Arden Hills, MN, but this role can be remote(virtual) anywhere in the USA

Salary: 75K to 112K (depending on expeirence)

• Support regional milk managers as needed by producing Ad Hoc data projects/reports that result in improved flexibility to balance milk or realized savings.
• Design and build automated data visualization tools that bring visibility and transparency to our milk supply, enhance data driven decisions, and support key stakeholders.
• Support our Member Relations business partner with data projects/reports needed to develop and execute flexible strategies relative to producer premiums and milk hauling subsidies.
• Provide back-up coverage for regional milk managers while out on PTO or assistance in emergency type situations.
• Support analytics and optimization projects that lead to market opportunity gains and milk decisions across all milk supply regions, member relations, transportation and milk receiving manufacturing plants.
• Develop/maintain metrics for milk supplied to both internal and external customers, as well as communicate overall emerging trends in all regions throughout the organization.

Education/Experience (Required):

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in data or business analysis; proficiency in Power BI and SQL

Education/Experience (Preferred):

• 1 to 3 years’ experience in dairy operations or knowledge of dairy markets/milk pricing

Competency Skills (Required):

• Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
• Capable and comfortable building relationships with key stakeholders and ability to be customer focused.
• Detail oriented with strategic decision-making skills and ability to interpret information in a concise manner
• Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with understanding of other Microsoft applications such as Access and Enterprise Systems.
• Proven analytical and data management skills
• Ability to determine the best approach to assignments and tasks with minimal supervision
• Possess an intellectual curiosity that supports continuous improvement and creative solutions
• Understanding of supply chain principles and activities
