Job Description Summary
The Transamerica Business Analytics Internship provides you with a unique learning experience with hands-on experience to support your professional growth. You will gain knowledge of the financial industry from service to back-office operations. You will benefit from being in an expanding, entrepreneurial environment, set within the greater infrastructure of a large corporation.
Most significantly, you will be a part of the Transamerica team, and you will be working on real projects. Your personal success will help to drive our success. Finally, you will be in an environment with direct access and ample opportunity to network with department leaders and other professionals within our organization.
What You Will Learn: You will gain real world experience and learn best practices of data management through tools such as Alteryx, Salesforce, and Microsoft SQL Server. A typical day could include working on sales tracking, assisting with lead distribution to our sales team, or supporting the Data & Analytics team. You will be working with a team of ambitious and engaged professionals who bring fresh ideas and diverse perspectives to help us continually shake up the status quo and stay on the forefront of reinventing how we meet our customer needs.
Job Description

Research and retrieve data as requested

Verify data by comparing it to source documents

Use data tools such as Alteryx, Python, and other data analyzing programs

Data entry and validation for financial services transactions

Communication and presentation of reports and in-depth analysis, including recommendations for improvements in business processes and sales efficiencies

Process development and management, including quality checking.

In pursuit of BS or MS degree in a technical field (Finance/Business, Accounting, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, etc.)

Ability to work 2-3 hours every day of the work week (Monday – Friday)

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency including superior Microsoft Excel experience
