Business Development / Corporate Strategy (2023 Summer Internship)

We believe aircraft should fly themselves. Automated aviation systems will enable a future where air transportation is safer, more convenient and fundamentally transformative to the way goods — and eventually people — move around the planet. We are a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics and self-driving cars working to make this future a reality.

As a Business Development / Corporate Strategy Intern at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of our overall Business Development team (and specifically our Corporate Strategy group) to conduct assessments and analysis to help our senior leaders make better strategic decisions. The Corporate Strategy group is a team of mission-driven professionals with business, consulting, strategic, and program experience across aerospace. The Corporate Strategy group helps create value from our interactions with customers and markets by conducting research and assessments across the aviation field. Your contributions to the group will help our senior leaders make better strategic decisions in the short, medium, and long term. This will help to determine future partnerships, products, and business interactions, directly impacting the roadmap of aviation autonomy.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Corporate Strategy Intern you will gather, analyze, and synthesize information from a variety of sources into actionable output products (reports, presentations) for company leadership. You will examine various aircraft fleets, platforms, markets, and technologies including from existing operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), cargo transport providers, providers of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) / Regional Air Mobility (RAM) / Urban Air Mobility (UAM) vehicles, and zero emission aviation aircraft developers. The analysis and assessments you will produce will be important for future strategic and tactical corporate decisions. You may also occasionally be involved in supporting our larger Business Development team including our leaders focused on sales, marketing/communications, government solutions, and public policy. This internship will provide you the opportunity to understand in greater depth the aviation autonomy revolution, helping to decipher trends and identify innovation waves.
