What does a BDR do?
A Business Development Representative (BDR) is a sales role responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads or prospects for a company's products or services. BDRs typically engage in outbound prospecting activities, such as cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach, to generate interest, set appointments, and initiate sales conversations with potential customers. BDRs often work closely with the sales and marketing teams, conducting market research, building relationships with prospects, and nurturing leads to ultimately drive revenue growth for the business.

Position Summary
During your apprenticeship with Catalyte, you will develop and hone your foundational skills in Sales under the tutelage of experienced sellers and work on real projects within the BDR capacity.
You will learn to proactively identify and engage with potential customers, qualify leads, and initiate sales conversations. We will hone your skills in prospecting, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building. BDRs learn to navigate sales tools and technologies, conduct market research, analyze customer needs, and work closely with sales and marketing teams. BDRs also develop resilience, adaptability, and time management skills as they handle rejection, manage a high volume of outbound activities, and prioritize tasks to meet sales targets. Overall, being a BDR equips you with the foundational skills and knowledge needed to excel in sales, marketing, business development, and other related roles.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication, active listening, adaptability, resilience, and relationship-building skills, along with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
