We are now seeking a Business Development Representative to report to our Head of Sales in North America and be the first interlocutor to our future clients. Dext has a multi-geographic, multi-million, multi-product SMB Business growing rapidly year on year. The role - what you'll do:

Our Business Development Representative team is often the face (and voice) of Dext – a phone call with you will often be the first human interaction many prospective customers have with us as a company. You, therefore, have the opportunity to set the tone for the ongoing relationship that our partners have with us.

  • Convert the great leads passed through our Marketing and Sales Operations teams, using consultative telephone techniques, great demos and webinars;
  • Nurture the sales funnel and increase conversion;
  • Create a great first impression by providing prospects with a world-class consultation experience;
  • Develop strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders, working alongside colleagues to ensure a seamless buying and deployment process;
  • Develop a successful buyer journey, supporting and creating a positive experience for your customers, mitigating contraction churn and cancellation.

About you - what we are looking for:

  • Eager to learn and very coachable (looks for feedback and can't wait to put it into practice);
  • Demonstrable previous success in a B2B sales role, predominantly liaising with customers over the phone;
  • Can build and manage relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners at all levels;
  • A consultative, process-driven and persistent approach with exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of the accounting and bookkeeping industry (preferred);
  • Highly motivated, confident, enthusiastic, driven;
  • Have a desire to develop your consultative selling techniques;
  • Can handle rejection, can handle objections.
