Studios Editor (Contract)

Business Insider is hiring an editor to join Business Insider's award-winning branded content studio to write, edit, and execute custom content campaigns.This is a four-month part-time position working 20 hours a week (5 hours a day at 4 days per week). We know that when we work together, we can create quality content products that delight our clients and engage our audience.The Role & Team:As an editor, you will help manage the creation and execution of sponsored content for various content marketing campaigns. You'll collaborate with writers and editors to tell impactful stories through branded content for some of the world's leading brands, while flexing your writing and editing muscles in the process. Working on articles, video campaigns, social media products, and more, you'll help our team produce meaningful branded content campaigns for Business Insider's audience.This role reports directly to the Senior Managing Editor and sits on the Advertising team at Business Insider. This role will be remote, though if you are New York-based there is an option to go into the office.Key Responsibilities:• Help manage the creation and execution of sponsored content for various content marketing campaigns.• Write and edit articles, creating eye-catching summary bullets and headlines that reflect Business Insider's conversational style.• Work with writers and content producers to edit first drafts of video scripts, articles, and other documents.• Develop content ideas and thought starters for branded content campaigns.• Edit and format content within Business Insider's content management system.The Ideal Candidate Has:• Previous experience in content development at a publisher, branded content studio, or PR/marketing agency• A passion for content development, creative writing, and copy editing.• Excellent organizational skills.• Strong verbal and written communication skills.• Background in journalism, marketing, or communications.• A collaborative, can-do attitude• Familiarity with AP style is a plus.Salary:• $45 per hour (overtime when needed and approved)Are you passionate about this opportunity, but worried that you don't have 100% of the experience we're looking for?
