Position Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst will join a dynamic, collaborative team of analysts and data scientists to support decision making and business processes at the University of Georgia with advanced data reporting, visualization, and analytics. This position requires critical thinking, analytic problem solving, and a strong aptitude for understanding, using, and communicating data. The Business Intelligence Analyst will bring or develop significant expertise in institutional data domains such as financial, human resources, and student data and will be responsible for compiling and analyzing data about the institution using data system queries, secondary data sources, and standard to advanced research methods. This position also will design and maintain data visualizations for dissemination to campus and external audiences. The Business Intelligence Analyst will practice appropriate data stewardship under UGA’s data governance model and will support data literacy programming of the Office of Institutional Research.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in higher education or data analysis.
• Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization tools (highly desired)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of tools
• Proficiency with SQL or other data query languages (highly desired)
• Significant experience in a higher education environment
• Working knowledge of one or more business data domains common to higher education
• Experience with statistical analysis tools such a Python, R, or SAS

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
