Business Operations Analyst

Business Operations for the office of the CEO is made up of a small, dynamic, and high-performing team who supports the CEO and the executive leadership team (ELT) in their operations work and in their drive to transform F5 into a SaaS-led company. The business analyst is a key contributor to this work, sits front and center in the day-to-day running of the office, and is a thought partner in improving team and company operations.
This role includes supporting and documenting processes, creating and managing executive-level presentations and communications, as well as ad-hoc projects as business needs arise. In addition, there is a time each quarter for the business analyst to select a project that will provide developmental opportunities and further growth of key skills.
This position is a great fit for someone who is hungry to learn, to build relationships, and has a passion for driving execution excellence. This role is designed to be a two-year rotational position for high-potential individuals within F5.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage the full process and execution of the quarterly business review (QBR) meetings for the office of the CEO, including improving and maintaining reporting, managing executive communications, and day-of-event support.
  • Perform research on companies, individuals, or industries to support CEO and ELT meeting and event preparation.
  • Drive process improvement for the office of the CEO, including documenting critical processes and activities and advancing operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Manage executive meetings and business rhythm by maintaining schedules and documentation and communicating with key stakeholders. Example activities include managing ELT weekly meetings, updating the quarterly Company Promise Scorecard, and assisting with board meeting preparation, as needed.
  • Act as a resource and role model to others in the company, including business operations, finance, communications, sales ops, and other teams that are frequent collaborators with the office of the CEO.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience working with and influencing senior business partners, Directors, and Vice Presidents (VPs) in a project environment, facilitating alignment and consensus on future business solutions and changes.
  • Experience engaging business stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures in a trustworthy and thoughtful manner within an exciting, innovative project environment.
  • Set and articulate expectations around leadership behavior for the team; model behavior that exemplifies LeadF5 and Bef5 behaviors.
  • Experience in critically reviewing analysis and adding value to project deliverables such as process maps, use cases, customer journeys, and requirements documents.
  • Experience in writing and presenting business cases / ROIs to senior business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate an ability to identify risks, hand-offs, bottlenecks and opportunities in business processes.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Be self-driven, and show the ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
  • Proven ability to look at solutions in unconventional ways, including the ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces.
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from analysis supported by data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required.
  • Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $103,672.00 - $155,508.00
F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
