Job Summary

Responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for changes to internal processes and/or standards/specifications in order to create more efficient and economical operations for Dominion Energy and Dominion Delivery business areas. Assist on multiple concurrent projects to identify and document the major business processes associated with the business unit, conduct benchmarking and best practice analysis of the business unit's processes against both industry and non-industry processes, identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes within the entire business unit without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety, develop business cases to support recommendations, and, monitor the progress associated with the implementation of recommended changes. Apply process modeling tools, process improvement methodology, benchmarking, project management, and change management to projects. Perform daily, monthly, and yearly tie-line checkout tasks and ensure that timely notifications are made to address issues. Serve as the process owner for System Operations Procedure Manual review and update activities to ensure all procedures are reviewed at least annually and whenever requirements or processes change.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

  • 2-3+ years of relevant exempt experience in a directly related field.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making, along with knowledge of when to get others involved.
  • Proficient in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills to include command of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Adobe.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Thorough understanding of Dominion energy's Tie-Line Checkout process and System Operations Procedure Manual review and update process.
  • Strong knowledge of the North Carolina Renewable Energy Tracking System.
  • Thorough understanding of PJM's PowerMeter and Dominion Energy's Power Verification programs.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Discipline(s): Business
