Savi is a leading social impact technology startup based in DC that is working to solve the student debt crisis. Our mission is to help the 46+ million student loan borrowers better understand their debt, find federal forgiveness programs, and enroll. We're looking for people who have the desire to build meaningful products and the drive to do great work as part of a team. Savi has been featured in the New York Times, TIME, and Inc. We completed our Series A funding round in early 2020 and have experienced 3x growth in the past year. Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and the nation’s largest membership groups, who use our platform to help their employees and members better manage their student loans and save money.


Savi is looking for a passionate Business Development Manager to join our quickly growing team. The candidate must have direct SaaS sales experience, be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast paced and collaborative environment, and be driven by goal- and growth-oriented objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a mission-driven startup that is tackling a major problem for adults across the country.

In this role, you will get to:


  • Identify, source, and execute to capture new business verticals
  • Pitch the Savi product to future clients and partners across industries
  • Manage your own pipeline of full cycle deals, driving opportunities from inception to close
  • Identify strategies to drive growth across Savi’s existing sales pipeline
  • Collaborate across teams, including Product, Partnerships, and External Affairs, to unlock growth and efficiency opportunities
  • Bring your thinking, ideas, and processes to help advance Savi’s values, mission, and vision for the future


Qualifications:


  • Driven to roll up sleeves and perform at the highest possible level to help further Savi’s mission
  • 2-5 years of direct sales experience ideally in an Account Executive or Account Specialist role, in which you consistently exceeded sales goals and targets (including lead generation activities)
  • Experience with CRM pipeline management (HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Excited to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Thrive in roles that require both individual ownership and leadership as well as cross-team collaboration to develop solutions and achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
  • An interest in and aptitude for working with new technologies and a social-impact start-up
  • Are interested in the social impact mission of the company
  • An ideal candidate would also have experience selling to HR professionals or financial institutions and/or working in a SaaS start-up
