Renewals Team Lead

Position Summary:

The Renewals Team Lead will oversee a team of Renewal Account Managers responsible for re-engaging small business owners who have previously taken financing through our platform. The goal is to generate revenue by offering renewed financing solutions tailored to the evolving needs of our clients. The Team Lead will coach and mentor their team to ensure they meet or exceed performance targets, maintain high customer satisfaction, and foster long-term relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Renewal Account Managers to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
    • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to support team growth and development.
    • Create a positive, results-driven work environment where team members are encouraged to excel.
    • Coordinate training sessions to ensure the team is knowledgeable about the company’s financial products and services.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Ensure the team effectively re-engages with existing clients to assess their financing needs and offer appropriate solutions.
    • Oversee and manage client relationships, ensuring excellent service throughout the renewal process.
    • Handle any escalated client concerns or complex issues, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Effectively communicate and manage key relationships across all of our lending partners. 
  • Performance Management:
    • Monitor individual and team performance metrics, providing insights and corrective actions to maintain high productivity.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize conversion rates and maximize revenue from renewals.
    • Collaborate with the Head of Sales to set monthly/quarterly goals.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure alignment on client messaging, promotions, and strategies.
    • Provide feedback on client trends and market conditions to internal teams to help refine product offerings and strategies.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to improve the renewal process, ensuring efficiency and a seamless customer experience.
    • Develop,  document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the renewal team.
