Buyer – Raw Material

• In this role, you will be responsible for the purchasing function for raw material. You will receive requisitions and place purchase orders in collaboration with the Sourcing Manager and manage the process through receipt of material.
• In this role, you will create standard work for purchasing activity and install continuous improvement processes to deliver measurable results.
• You will partner with Materials Management and Sourcing Teammates to ensure optimal sources of supply deliver material on time.
  

Responsibilities

• 
  Process requisitions, place purchase orders in an enterprise resource planning software, expedite as required, and track orders to ensure material is delivered to Operations on-time.
• Create purchase plans in response to material requirement plans. Collaborate with material management and operations to optimize inventory.
• Respond and react to schedule changes in a timely manner and communicate with suppliers and stakeholders promptly to ensure material is delivered when required per material plan.
• Negotiate lead times, minimum order quantities, and quality expectations with suppliers to develop best in class supply chain cycle times.
• Resolve all invoice holds in a timely manner to prevent credit holds. Manage inventory held in Supplier Consignment Inventory. Execute post-receipt transaction details to ensure proper payment to suppliers.
• Able to download large amounts of supply chain data, analyze, and summarize concise relevant conclusions.
• Manage and negotiate resolution related to complaints to suppliers (delivery issues and/or quality).
• Interfacing with Global Sourcing Managers to align site strategy with Global Sourcing Strategies.
• Responsible for collaborating with Material Management Team on schedule changes, forecast updates. Willing to consider all requests to meet customer requests, but able to confidently convey what is possible to maintain sustainable relationships with the supply base.
• Responsible for managing purchases within the parameters listed on semi-complex contracts.
• Responsible for identification of cost reduction opportunities and continuous supply chain improvement.
• Support the development and qualification of new sources of supply. Lead the material qualification projects by tracking status of sample purchase orders and feedback.
• Communicate in a professional manner to suppliers (domestic and international) and global stakeholders in an effective and concise manner to facilitate a clear commercial transaction related to purchase orders.
• Key Metrics & Outcomes include: Purchase Orders Placed On-Time, Best In Class Lead Times Negotiated, Material Delivered On-Time, Ethical Purchases, Total Cost Reduction, Purchases Placed Per Contract, Compliance to Conflict Mineral Policies.

Competencies And Skills

• 
  Supply Chain Experience – Experience and knowledge of purchasing, sourcing, managing, and building supply chains.
• ERP Experience & Data Management – Experience issuing and managing purchase orders. Detail Oriented. Skilled in analytics; able to maintain key data, leverage raw data to organize and prioritize information for decision making.
• Communication – Excellent communication skills. Able to build relationships via telephone, email, and in-person. Comfortable and confident communicating and interacting with various individuals to drive targeted results. Proven experience in persuading and leading others to build differentiated relationships. Skilled in all forms of communication including email, telephone, formal and informal presentation to support achieving results.
• Collaborative & Team Player – Engaging and able to act effectively as part of a supply chain team.

Education & Qualification

• Education: bachelor’s degree (RQ) in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance
• Experience: Business and/or Supply Chain Experience
• Experience: Deliver exceptional customer experiences, collaborative, responsible, able to make high quality decisions, and set priorities.
• Proficiency: MS Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Customer Relationship Software, SAP (PF)
