We are looking for an amazing home buyer to drive innovation and sales growth in our furniture, home decor, and baby gear categories.

Curate product assortments from various vendors to fill assortment voids
Prospect new vendors and negotiate terms
Keep abreast of current industry trends. Understand competitor's strengths, weaknesses and strategy
Partner with vendors to secure exclusive and/or limited distribution product
Run weekly sales reports and analyze product performance highlighting key business opportunities
Build cross-functional team relationships (marketing, planning, creative, operations etc).
Proactively network with vendors regarding available merchandise. This includes frequent and effective communication, negotiations, and providing sales and inventory projections
Set the overall strategy and merchandise direction for your category (home)
Develop seasonal vendor plans in conjunction with Planner and VP of Merchandising
Manage healthy stock levels and sell-through rates on all owned inventory
Manage direct report(s) and oversee their development and growth
Provide on-going analysis and interpretation of key business issues
Detail oriented with the ability to present data in a compelling manner
Analytical thinker and strategic problem solver
Ability to partner with and influence vendors/cross-functional partners
Highly organized and able to adapt to quickly changing priorities
Excellent communication skills; manages time effectively
Self-starter; Follows through
Positive, team-first attitude
Knowledge of retail landscape, trends and the digital marketplace
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years retail merchandising buying experience, eCommerce preferred
Relevant buying experience in home and/or baby gear strongly preferred
Start-up and/or marketplace experience a plus
Proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets
