Backend Engineer(Distributed System) - Network Security

Design and implement secure and scalable backend systems for ByteDance's popular apps and services. Develop and maintain distributed systems with a focus on network security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues related to backend systems. Continuously monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of backend systems to ensure high-quality and efficient code. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in distributed systems and network security. Work closely with product managers and other engineers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Proactively identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in backend systems and take necessary steps to mitigate them. Mentor and coach junior engineers in the team to help them grow and develop their skills. Collaborate with other teams to integrate new features and functionalities into existing backend systems. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and discuss potential roadblocks. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to existing backend systems to optimize performance and enhance security. Adhere to coding standards and best practices to ensure maintainability and scalability of backend systems.
