A permanent position servicing government contracts in the UK, working both on-site and remotely. This position is intended for people who have worked on F5 product design, configuration, and deployment. focusing on improving service delivery through analytical thinking and knowledge of how to assist a diverse clientele. As a consultant, you will possess the self-assurance, technological know-how, and soft skills necessary to enable you and your team to take the lead in delivering superior technical solution design, deployment, and technology health checks, as well as navigating complex technical troubleshooting and debugging.
1. Develop and maintain strong working proficiency in the core F5 products and technologies through self-directed and formal training.
2. Assume technical responsibilities that may include, but are not limited to, systems architecture definition, hardware/software specification, design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment.
3. Perform consulting project activities, including, but not limited to, new installations, migrations, upgrades, configurations, the creation of iRules, updating security, and access policies and troubleshooting on a broad range of F5 product-related engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills.
4. Identify additional product or service opportunities within the customer organization.
5. Manage partner and customer interaction and engagement, from initial scoping of projects, through development of the statement of work, delivery, integration, documentation, and follow-up.
6. Perform basic project management duties such as project status update reports, time tracking, and expectation management for the delivery of work products and associated risks.
7. Work with F5 BIG-IP software to automate or orchestrate common deployment tasks and architect cloud deployment strategies utilizing technologies.
8. Provide engineering expertise in pursuing application security, concentrating on L7 WAF capabilities, and extending to common defensive strategies centered around DoS and BOT mitigation.

1. The ideal applicant will hold Security Enhanced DV UK Clearance to carry duties for Government departments if required.
2. 5 years’ relevant experience with a focus on architecture and design of network or system infrastructure, performance, and management
3. 3 years’ experience in external customer facing positions as a consultant or engineer.
4. 3 years’ experience working on F5 LTM, GTM, DNS, plus an advanced F5 module, Viprion, and iRules.
5. Experience configuring AFM with IP intelligence (IPI)
6. Valid F5 certifications 101, 201, 301a, 301b, and 302 onwards would be advantageous.
7. A thorough understanding of the interactions between the OSI layers 5 to 7
8. Working knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP protocol, SSL certificates, and web server administration such as Apache or Microsoft Internet Information Services.
