About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for supporting multiple product lines. These positions will be responsible for realizing the design and documentation for multiple cutting-edge development programs for defense applications domestically and internationally.

As a CAD Designer, you will work with teams and products that directly support our service men and women who engage in combat operations around the world. An ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge base in mechanical design, unit-level integration, and be able to execute in both R&D and production environments. Required experience includes hardware design, including modeling and documentation, and successfully working within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop imaginative, thorough, practicable technical solutions to a wide range of difficult Mechanical Design problems.
• Perform detailed design of electro-mechanical devices, equipment and subsystems including modeling, drafting, and tolerance analysis in direct collaboration with an integrated engineering team.
• Prepare high-quality formal engineering documentation (layouts, drawings, 3D-PMI, 3D models, parts lists, Engineering Change Notices, (ECN’s), vendor parts, etc.) per ASME Y14.100 and MIL-Spec standards.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Drafting and Design Technology, or 4 years relevant experience as a mechanical designer
• Military hardware design and integration experience preferred.
• Experience in a DoD environment and model-based systems engineering are preferred.
