Corporate Accounting Vice President

CAIS is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in New York City. The position involves ensuring the precision and efficiency of month-end financial closes for the management company and broker-dealer entity, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Skills

CPA required
Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Series 27/ broker-dealer experience a plus
Committed to continuous process improvement

Responsibilities

Responsible for month-end financial close of management company, broker-dealer entity, and UK entity
Own the revenue month-end close process
Analyze customer contracts and apply proper revenue recognition principles
Assist with calculating, tracking, and billing accounts receivable
Drive process improvements and assist with revenue automation and recognition software tools
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory rules and review quarterly FINRA filings
Assist with financial reporting and preparation of annual financial statements
Coordinate the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and foreign tax filings for the entities
Oversee and develop a team of employees
Ad hoc finance projects as determined by capacity and skill

Education

BS/MS in Accounting
