Cepton is seeking a Calibration Engineer to help us with calibration development and calibration system validation, maintenance, and improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting calibration development by executing sophisticated DOE, data collection and analysis, and calibration model validation
- Leading manufacturing calibration maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement
- Defining procedures and processes, and training of operators
- Strong collaboration with hardware and software teams to speedily resolve issues
- Preparation of technical reports, analysis, recommendations, and presentation on regular basis for project status update
Qualifications:
- Masters or Ph.D. Degree in EE, ME, Optics, Physics or applicable fields
- 5+ years of relevant experience in testing, validation, and calibration
- Familiar with optical alignment, testing, and optoelectronic system
- Strict discipline with good test practices: careful test design/setup/execution, rigorous problem analysis, and documentation of all results
- Attention to detail in calibration defining the right pass/fail criteria and ability to do involved data analysis on test results
- Strong initiative and motivation to obtain what you need to execute your tasks successfully
- Willing to adapt to a fast-paced high tech start-up environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
