AML Data Scientist

Capco is looking for a Data Scientist to help harness the power of data and analytics to prevent financial crime for their clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in AML regulations, statistical methods, and programming.

Skills

Programming skills in Python, R, or SQL
Strong understanding of statistical methods
Experience with AML regulations and financial crime prevention
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement predictive and descriptive models to identify and prevent financial crime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure models meet business needs and regulatory standards.
Utilize knowledge of AML regulations and financial crime typologies to inform model development and testing.
Conduct extensive back-testing and stress-testing of models to ensure performance under various scenarios.
Apply advanced statistical techniques to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
Communicate complex statistical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Proactively identify and address challenges related to data, model accuracy, and operational implementation.
