Application Developer .NET

Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Developer III to join our team to work for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

An Agile Development Team operating within a larger Agile Release Train is seeking a highly motivated and skilled application developer to support a variety of mission critical applications. The agile team’s mission is to develop and support a variety of applications for Claims Legal and core Claims business functions.

This role requires a skilled developer able to operate within SAFe Agile development methodologies as part of a structured team environment. The developer shall be a sefl-starter proficient in time management and daily development tasks such as coding, debugging, unit testing, defect fixes, and configurations. Additionally, the role requires effectively tracking, updating, and completing core agile work items such as Tasks, User Stories, and Features. The developer will collaborate internally and across teams through Agile ceremonies used for planning, deployments, and issue resolution.

Requirements 

  •  Fluent English skills
  • Minimum required work experience: 4 to 6 years.
  • You have knowledge in:
    • Application development languages - Microsoft .NET stack (Ex. .NET and C#, .Net Core)
    • Web Application Development – Front End UI/UX, Angular and/or Blazer exposure
    • Windows Services – running and scheduling applications
    • Middleware & Integration technologies - Ex. MuleSoft, MQandREST APIs, SFTP file transfer
    • Database (Oracle, SQL) - writing and using DB queries, updates to database, configuration within database, performance optimization
    • Cloud Platform - Experience building and deploying applications with AWS, GCP, Azure is a plus
  • Agile Methodology: Participates in the ceremonies and works in harmony to better the team to achieve delivery goals. Has appropriate training/certifications for their role.
  • Application Development: Applies knowledge of various tools and technology to design, develop, test and deliver applications that meet defined requirements. Adheres to design and build best practices, security standards and principles, and creates quality user experiences (UX) and/or user interfaces (UI) as applicable. Collaborates with system architects, other developer team members, and external delivery teams to ensure that a complete solution is delivered on-time with a focus on quality.
  • Application Support: Provides maintenance and/or ongoing support services for applications, either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
  • Quality Engineering: Provides for quality testing on the deliverables. Brings a left shift mentality to identify and address quality issues prior to QA handoff and to work on sprints. Applies automation skills in development and testing and identifies performance related application bottlenecks with recommendation(s) to improve . Collaborates with the rest of the team to ensure a quality deliverable. Assists in user acceptance testing. Effectively manages the code base and creates and/or updates application documentation knowledge base.
