We created Chime because we believe everyone deserves financial peace of mind.
Pros
Take care of yourself days, great benefits, matching 401k, great PTO policyCons
The majority of people working at Chime do not understand who Chime's member base is/what they go through, haven't ever lived paycheck to paycheck or needed a tool like SpotMe. The people building the product and writing the code are very disconnected from the realities of the customers they are serving.Chime is committed to making our financial system more just and driving economic opportunity for millions of everyday Americans. That means not only supporting the fight for equity in the community of our members, but also reflecting and representing its diversity. We recognize diversity as a source of strength and dynamism that will allow us to better serve members and be more successful as a company.
Employee Resource Groups
We know how important it is to bring your full self to work, so we’ve put thought and effort into building an inclusive, welcoming workplace where every Chimer can be themselves. After all, we'll better serve our members—millions of everyday Americans— if our team comes from different experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds.
To that end, we’ve created Chimer Resource Groups (CRGs): they’re groups of Chimers who have shared experiences or would just like to be allies to each other. They include (the list is growing every year!):
Our CRGs are at the core of our DEI efforts, since they provide community, support, education, and help every Chimer know that we’re all in this together. CRGs meet regularly, host events, and help educate fellow Chimers on topics that matter to them.

Community Partnerships
At Chime, community means many things: it’s the community we foster amongst Chimers, it’s the community we build in the cities where we work, and it’s the community we cultivate with and between our members.
In the cities where we work and live, we’ve committed to getting involved in the ways we can, which includes giving our time and donating money. In 2020, we made a pledge to give 1% of our time—yes, all Chimers—to causes that matter to us.
We’re also committed to being part of the community when it comes to broader causes we care about and want to take a stand on. This might mean Chiming In (one of our values) on the conversation, or donating money to causes like the Equal Justice Initiative.
Chime’s business was built on the principle of protecting our members and helping them get ahead. That means we don’t profit off our members. We profit with them: every time they use their Chime debit card, we earn a small amount from Visa (paid by the merchant).
We created Chime because we believe everyone deserves financial peace of mind. We’re building a new kind of bank account that helps members get ahead by making managing money easy. If you want to join us, Chime in.
*Chime is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking services provided by, and debit card issued by, The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank, N.A.; Members FDIC.
Here at Chime, our people are empowered to do their best work. We believe Chime grows when our people do, which is why we invest in our employees in ways that inspire and empower them to perform at their best. We respect individual style — you do you!
We embrace creativity at work, value diversity and openness, and take pride in nurturing a community that’s inclusive and welcoming.
Our Values
At Chime, our values are core to who we are. They define what we hold dear and how we work together. As we've grown, we've been intentional about defining our culture around these 8 values:
• Be member-obsessed 💚
• Be human 🙃
• Be bold 🚀
• Simplify 🎯
• Make it happen 📈
• Respect the rules 🎖
• Team up 👯
• Chime in 🙋🏽
Each day, we encourage each other to live these values, including how we make decisions and connect the work we do to our mission.

At Chime, ERGs are CRGs
We’ve created Chimer Resource Groups (CRGs): they’re groups of Chimers who have shared experiences or would like to be allies to each other. They include: AfroChime, ChimeHers, Chimigos, Chimmigrants, DiversiChime, OutChime, and PacifiChime.
Our CRGs are at the core of our DEI efforts, since they provide community, support, education, and help every Chimer know that we’re all in this together. CRGs meet regularly, host events, and help educate fellow Chimers on topics that matter to them. Our CRG leads are compensated for the engaging work they do, and CRGs often partner together for events, educational discussions, and more.
DiversiChime’s mission is to represent the under-represented and to serve as a hub for all things Inclusion & Diversity at Chime. If you don’t see yourself represented by another CRG, you can always find community with DiversiChime. This group often plans events for Chimer parents, veterans, those with disabilities, and more.

Preparing for your remote interviews
Interviewing remotely isn’t that different from interviewing in person: You’ll want to prepare thoroughly, ask questions about the company and the role you’re interviewing for, and look presentable (at least from the waist up!). But there are a couple of additional steps you can take to prepare so your video interview goes as smoothly as possible. Our remote interviewing guide covers all the tech tips and best practices to ensure an awesome remote interview experience.
The way we work has changed, but the reason we work hasn't.
Perhaps more than ever, our members need Chime, and we’re prepared to be there for them. So while our offices and our day to day schedules look a little different, we're taking daily steps to achieve our mission.
To support our members during this time, we're committed to making sure Chime is the best banking service possible and that we're providing them with resources to help them. We're proud of the work we're doing and will continue to have our members' backs.
We're making this new way of working work for us.
Our team is committed to staying connected and keeping our morale high. Without our spirit, we can’t support our members. Here’s how Chimers are making our new way of working work for us.
