Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced Project Control Analyst to join our team in the DC Metro Area to support our government clients. The successful applicant will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good oral and written skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and operational/financial accounting concepts (GAAP, IFRS, and revenue recognition). Candidates in this role will be expected to work closely with other finance members, Project Managers, and other members of the Capgemini Government Solutions leadership team.The successful applicant will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skills, work with a motivated and ambitious team, engage with a wide range of collaborators, and build CGS’ capabilities to serve our clients.Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Project Control Analyst, you will:• Coordinate all financial aspects of the assigned programs and/or portfolio, forecast/budget, and reporting and analyzing results.• Support the full life cycle of contracts including project & workforce setup and maintenance, revenue recognition & cost accruals, monthly forecasting & variance analysis, journal entries, etc. Partner and support accounting as needed on invoicing and billing.• Calculate revenue and expenses in accordance with CGS policies, including accruals, intercompany charges, capitalization, and amortization schedules for monthly close in a timely manner to allow consolidation, review and submittal of results within CGS’s close due dates.• Perform detailed reporting and analyses of monthly financial information to include revenue and cost variances and trend analysis as well as proactively monitor large expenditures and swings in margin from month to month in accordance with GAAP and company policies.• Support project reviews, opportunity and delivery review meetings as well as ongoing audits with accurate financial data and beneficial financial analyses.• Set-up projects with different contract types (Cost-Plus, T&M, Fixed-Price) including proper billing and revenue terms. Ensure that project set-ups and modifications are entered into Deltek Costpoint in accordance with internal policies and procedures.• Maintain Deltek Costpoint project information including contract/funding values, period of performance, line of business, project labor categories, etc.• Collaborate across Finance and other departments such as Contracts, Accounting, Human Resources, and Operations to ensure accuracy and to collect data regarding project related issues.• Maintain open communication with direct management regarding financial results and ensure awareness of risks and opportunities identified during project financial tracking, revenue review, A/R, WIP, etc.• Prepare and provide necessary financial information (i.e., fee retention, final invoice review) and other related financial information/documentation to the closeout department.• Prepare and effectively review Estimate-At-Complete (EAC) and Estimate-To-Complete (ETC) analyses.• Participate on PMRs (project management reviews) for corresponding portfolio of programs as needed.• Review and monitor project funding and expenditures for contract 75% Limitation of Funds notification.• Support internal and external audits and ensures policies and procedures are met.• Prepare operational review reports and other ad hoc reporting.Required Qualifications:• 2+ years of finance/accounting experience in Federal government contracting• 2+ years’ experience with Deltek Costpoint and Deltek Business Intelligence or other government compliant ERP Systems• Knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government contracting regulations and principles, and accounting and finance principles• Project control experience and comprehensive knowledge of service type cost reimbursable, fixed priced, and commercial contracts required-• Demonstrated experience with financial modelling and data analytics• Sophisticated knowledge of Excel (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables).• Strong communications skills.• Flexible teammate with ability to collaborate with clients and work in cross-functional teams and across varying groups and organizational levels• Extreme attention to detail is required.
