About the Team
In Business Cards & Payments, we’re on a journey to be the leading business card program. Our ambitious goals for capturing wallet share of heavy spenders and increasing our purchase volume require capabilities and experiences that help Small Business Owners extend spending power to employees. The PM in this role will work with partners across Product, Tech, Business, and Design to create employee card capabilities that differentiate us from competitors.

Minimizing the time spent managing employee spending is crucial for Small Business Owners, allowing them to spend more time running their business. Our team’s mission is to create experiences that empower both managers who oversee employee spending and employees doing the spending. In this role you will help define our roadmap and strategy, as well as work with a cross-discipline team that spans lines of business to implement and maintain our employee card capabilities.

In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management:

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: 

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)

    • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
