This group provides consumer insights that inform products, services, experiences and marketing strategies for our credit card and adjacent businesses, including acquiring new customers and engaging existing customers. In this role, you will support multiple cross-functional business and marketing teams by developing, executing and supporting high impact Learning Agendas via research vendors and DIY research platforms.How Our Hybrid Model WorksThis role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting . Monday and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days.Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.The ideal candidate for this role is…• Curious: A passionate advocate for the consumer – someone who loves understanding people, their attitudes, needs and behaviors• Rigorous: Grounded in market research fundamentals – familiar with more complex research methodologies (e.g., conjoint, max diff, segmentation) and understands what is required to obtain high quality insights• Strategic: Ability to connect consumer insights with business decisions• Results-focused: Eager to drive forward key initiatives with urgency• Hands on with data: Able to analyze, synthesize and interpret first- and third-party data to enrich research analyses• Organized: can drive projects to completion, effectively manage project timelines and prioritize across multiple project needs• Fast learner: Ability to jump in head first and take a proactive approach• Great communicator: Comfortable packaging and presenting insights in a clear and structured way• Great teammate: Brings a positive attitude and is resilient in the face of challengesIn this role you will uncover impactful insights that drive strategy and decision making. To do this you will…• Lead research to support product development and go-to-market strategies and tactics, including the optimization of marketing communications• Leverage a network of research suppliers and employ DIY survey approaches to execute studies• Present and socialize insights to business partners that drive business decisions• Actively seek and evaluate new approaches for unearthing insights• Maintain a network with internal business partners to identify research needs and share insights• Effectively integrate primary research, customer data, secondary sources and marketplace intelligence in select analyses to tell holistic storiesThis role may require occasional travel.Basic Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience• At least 2 years of experience in a marketing research or consumer insights role on the vendor or corporate side• At least 2 years of experience executing research projects, both qualitative and quantitative• At least 1 year of experience analyzing results from statistical modeling• At least two years of experience in Microsoft ExcelPreferred Qualifications• At least 2 years of financial services experience• Experience with Prodege, Pollfish or Qualtrics research platforms• Experience in SQL, Tableau, SPSS or STATAAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
