Our Market Research team is critical to helping teams across the Bank understand the broader banking landscape and what drives customer behaviors and perceptions as they relate to banking.Our Market Research team is looking for a talented Researcher to help shape our learning agenda for Market Research and advise on strategies across the Bank. If you’d like to be in an ultimate real-life classroom and if the opportunity to shape the future of the Bank’s customer experience excites you, this is the opportunity for you!Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Strategic Leadership: Develop, execute, and share research that will promote customer-centricity and drive competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory demands.- Partnership and Teamwork: Partner with a diverse team of subject matter experts from across the Bank to create results that meaningfully impact our long-term strategy.- Research Orientation: A proven track record of market research. Conceptual thinking skills and a thirst for open-ended questions must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation.- Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business initiatives, build business requirements, and execute against our market research agenda. Work on multiple projects concurrently. Partner with and manage vendors as they execute research studies. Draft research reports, including developing data charts, graphs, and presentations.- Influence: Build and leverage the capabilities of a high-performing team, as well as business partners across the enterprise. Researchers should foster innovation, drive critical decisions, and consistently deliver results, including synthesizing key findings across multiple, interdisciplinary sources, culminating in research-backed business recommendations.- Strong Executive Communication & Storytelling Skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively summarize analysis for an executive audience is essential.- Clear Results Orientation: Display an intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals. Research should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment.- Growth Mindset: Embrace challenge, be curious, and actively seek to learn.- Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree or military experience• At least 2 years of experience in market research or behavioral-based research executing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies• At least 1 year of experience working with quantitative research vendorsPreferred Qualifications:• Masters Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Behavioral Sciences, or Consumer Psychology• 3+ years of experience in Market or Product Development research• 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting large data sets into insights to inform business strategiesAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Capital One offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well-being.
