Job Description

CapTech’s Customer Experience (CX) team seeks a Senior Interaction Designer with a track record of designing sophisticated digital brand experiences that are intuitive, impactful, and accessible.

Our interaction designers are passionate problem-solvers who strive to create elegant and engaging solutions to complex business challenges, honing their craft as they grow their careers. They stay current with evolving methods for designing engaging products and services, and they approach training in these areas with curiosity and enthusiasm.

This could be the position for you if:

  • You have a proven understanding of product strategy, heuristic analysis, information architecture, user research, user interface and interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
  • You are a self-motivated and strategic product thinker, with the desire to provide highly innovative ideas for all your engagements.
  • You have worked as or are familiar with the role of Product Designer
  • You thrive in an environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and enjoy collaborating with other interaction designers, user researchers, developers, and business system analysts.
  • You have a proven ability to meet tight deadlines, with some supervision, in a fast-paced and innovative environment.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Designing new, engaging digital experiences for web and mobile products, as well as extending and enhancing existing designs based on established design systems.
  • Crafting personas, information architectures, customer journeys, wireframes and prototypes that follow interaction design and usability best practices.
  • Consulting with clients and team members about the benefits of accessibility and usability best practices in modern experience design.
  • Producing clean, informative, and concise presentations to clients and internal teams that communicate the rationale behind your designs.
  • Researching and understanding design and technology trends and helping determine their relevance for our recommended solutions.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years professional experience, ideally in a consulting or agency context
  • 4-year+ degree, BA or BS in design, information sciences, HCI, or psychology
  • Strong written, verbal, conceptual, and visual communication skills
  • Figma expertise is preferred, with proficiency in comparable design tools (Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD), as well as PowerPoint.
  • Experience designing developer-ready visual assets and UI components is a plus.
  • Experience with user research methods and tools such as Optimal Workshop, Survey Monkey, and UserZoom is welcome, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Agile product development lifecycles and practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with WCAG and other accessibility guidelines and standards is a plus.
