Engineering Manager, Data Experiences Team

About the Role:

CaptivateIQ offers the smartest, most flexible way to automate sales commissions and track sales performance - two critical processes that power every successful sales organization on the planet. The Data Experiences team is responsible for building first-class reporting product experiences and the platform that powers it, used by commission administrators, strategic leaders and sales reps to maximize their potential and company revenue. 


Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, inspire, manage and grow a team of software engineers
  • Mentor the professional development of each engineer through personal and performance management and coaching
  • Design, build, and maintain user-facing components, APIs, services, and systems to solve problems and delight users from end-to-end
  • Work closely with product owners to set priorities, objectives and clarify direction for the engineering team
  • Build and evangelize best practices, high engineering and security standards, and continuously improve our codebases and team processes


Requirements:
  • 5+ years software development experience as an individual contributor
  • 3+ years of Engineering Manager, people management and hands-on engineering management
  • Strong product sense to bridge the gap between product, design, and engineering
  • Experience building and shipping market-leading products that delight customers   
  • Experience building and rolling out platform & platform services iteratively
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in a high-growth startup is a plus
  • Strong inclination towards data-driven decision making and measuring impactHigh sense of ownership and accountability with a proven track record of driving top-notch execution

$156,000 - $232,000 a year
CaptivateIQ takes a market-based approach to pay, and the base salary range for this job posting shows the minimum and maximum target starting base salary across all US locations. The successful candidate’s starting base salary will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education, work location, market conditions, and other factors. This range may be modified in the future. Certain positions may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and other benefits.
