Medical Assistant/ Receptionist

What You'll Do

Perform patient care - taking vitals, patient history, triaging, and administering medications as prescribed by the medical provider

Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations, and wound care, carry out ear lavages and run EKGs

Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes.

Conduct lab testing - urinalysis, urine pregnancy test, blood glucose testing, mono-spot, rapid strep, influenza testing, and rapid HIV testing.

Perform urine drug screen collections, breath alcohol testing, and other occupational health procedures under the direct supervision of the medical provider

Manage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as needed.


About You
  • About you
  • Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current BLS certification
  • 2+ years experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Fluent in medical terminology
  • Experience with sub-Q and IM injections
  • Proficient in CLIA waived testing
  • Knowledgeable in workplace health procedures (eye exams, urine drug screen collection, hearing test, spirometry, FIT testing)
  • Current BAT and DOT urine collection certification or willingness to complete the course
  • Phlebotomy experience required
