About the Job
As a Senior Healthcare Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in extracting, analyzing, and interpreting complex healthcare data to provide actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. Leveraging your expertise in business intelligence tools, healthcare data models, and healthcare information systems, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data-driven decision-making within the healthcare organization. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare operations, data visualization, and strong analytical skills.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze and understand healthcare data sources, including electronic health records (EHR), claims data and other relevant datasets.
- Design and implement healthcare data models that align with organizational goals and support various analytical initiatives
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for performance improvement in healthcare operations.
- Interpret and translate complex healthcare data into meaningful insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Design and develop healthcare-focused business intelligence solutions using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Create interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key healthcare metrics and performance indicators.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of reporting, collaborating with data engineers and IT teams for data validation and quality assurance.
- Develop and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration.
- Collaborate with data engineers and vendor engineering teams to optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Partner with healthcare professionals, executives, and other stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs.
- Work collaboratively with IT, data engineering, and other relevant departments to integrate data sources and ensure a cohesive data strategy.
- Identify areas for performance improvement in healthcare processes through data analysis, providing recommendations for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and proactively address issues to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA) in all data-related activities.
- Collaborate with compliance officers and legal teams to address any potential risks related to data usage.
- Implement data quality standards and ensure the accuracy and reliability of healthcare data.
- Adhere to data governance policies and best practices.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (e.g., Healthcare Informatics, Data Science, Business Analytics).
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant healthcare industry experience working in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or data management role required.
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer in the healthcare industry.
- Strong proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and EHR systems.
- Solid understanding of database design, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Information
Full time base salary of $120,000 to $145,000 plus medical, dental, and vision.
