What We Do
Care Access is delivering the future of medicine today! Care Access has a revolutionary model that breaks down traditional barriers to clinical trials that limit participation among physicians and patients to 3%. By removing this bottleneck, Care Access is helping accelerate the approval and delivery of critical and life-saving therapies.
Who We Are
We care. Our people are the engines behind our mission: to revolutionize access to clinical trials for the benefit of patients everywhere. We care for one another, find new ideas to accelerate medicine, and seed a long-term impact for generations.
Position Overview
Our technology team is searching for a Senior Data Engineer to assist in shaping our data infrastructure and developing a robust, scalable data platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with data architects to design and implement high-performance data solutions while maintaining a hands-on approach to the development and optimization of our data systems. This role will focus on building and supporting data pipelines, modeling, and storage solutions across cloud environments, with opportunities to drive efficiencies in data management and access.
Your responsibilities will include building out and optimizing the organizational data platform in alignment with architectural models while supporting migrations, governance, and ongoing maintenance. The role requires experience working with cloud-native data platforms and a solid understanding of the data engineering lifecycle, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers. You will be expected to work closely with architects and other teams to ensure solutions align with broader architectural goals.
What You'll Be Working On
Duties include but not limited to:
· Collaborate with data architects to implement effective data platform solutions, focusing on scalability and performance, while also contributing to architectural discussions.
· Build, configure, and optimize data pipelines to move and transform data efficiently using cloud-native services, primarily on Azure, with integration into AWS and Google BigQuery environments.
· Support data migration from legacy systems, ensuring data quality and alignment with governance standards.
· Conduct data modeling to support analytical needs, leveraging data lakes, warehouses, and marts.
· Monitor and enhance data system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and implementing new features.
· Assist in creating and maintaining a robust data governance model, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g., 21 CFR Part 11).
· Collaborate with stakeholders to address business needs and requirements, ensuring data systems are delivering value.
· Lead efforts to ensure data security, implementing best practices for data access and privacy controls.
· Provide mentorship to junior data engineers and support training initiatives for data team members.
· Support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices in data engineering workflows.
