Today, we operate ten health clinics, four dental clinics, three Women, Infant and Children Nutrition Education Centers, and six WIC voucher distribution sites.

JOB TITLE: Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW)
REPORT TO: DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES
PAY: $120K annually

BENEFITS:
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
1. Conducts clinical interviews to gather information, assess patient needs, determine the
appropriate need, and develop diagnostic information.
2. Provide short-term, structured, evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling as part of a treatment plan.
3. Provides Clinical therapeutic services to patients across the lifespan, including individual
and group therapy and coordination of treatment for participants with co-occurring
disorders.
4. Provide crisis intervention as needed in different clinics.
5. Participate in the development of patients' individualized care plans, in a timely and
thorough manner.
6. Provide treatment to assigned patients within the scope of practice, meeting
program/department productivity and quality standards.
7. Coordinates and collaborate with Primary Care Providers, Behavioral Health
Coordinator, Care managers, Substance Abuse Counselor, Medical Director of
Behavioral Health, Chief Medical Officer and other Staff to improve health outcomes.
8. Facilitates referrals to other services and allied agencies as needed.
9. Works closely with Psychiatrists and other Clinicians when needed.
10. Meets patient needs effectively and resolve individual barriers through follow-up,
advocacy, and collaboration with other staff and community service providers.
11. Serves as a mandated Child Protective Services (CPS) and Adult/Elder Abuse reporter.
12. Maintains accurate and timely records of activities, case management notes, and services
provided to each patient.
13. Facilitates and participates in chart reviews and audits of behavioral health clinicians.
14. Completes paperwork to support mental health billing in a timely manner.
15. Attends and participates in a variety of internal and external meetings.
16. Performs related duties as assigned.
17. Is engaged and facilitates outreach initiatives
18. Proactively utilize clinical supervision and/or peer consultation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of Social Work Professional Code of Ethics and Values.
• General understanding of the most recent Diagnostic manual.
• General knowledge of behavioral health counseling skills including; the ability to
perform biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, supportive therapy, and coping
skills development.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to find resources for patients and the ability to link and refer
patients as needed.
• General computer skills including the ability to use an Electronic Health Record system.
• Master’s Degree Social Work- Required
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bi-lingual English/ Spanish desired
• Knowledge of providing culturally competent services to a variety of diverse patients with an emphasis on rural populations.
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) Registration and number issued by the
California Board of Behavioral Sciences

• Credentials verification for clinical practitioner- ACSW registered and number issued by
CA BBS is required at time of employment. Employment is contingent on successful
completion of our credentialing, privileging, and background check processes.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
California Laws and regulations for mental health services; non-violent crisis intervention techniques; Evidenced-based practices and philosophy; data collection and record-keeping techniques. Excellent communication skills, good organizational and interpersonal skills and highly motivated. Reading and writing ability in English sufficient for filling out forms, reports, etc. Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 85% sitting, 10% walking, and 5% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard; seeing to view a computer monitor; lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, pushing or pulling moderately heavy computer equipment; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching; reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
