Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

Career Now Brands is seeking an experienced and passionate Business Intelligence Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a BI Engineer, you will be critical in leveraging data to gain insights into our lead generation and hiring trends, helping us make informed decisions and optimize our strategies. You will be a Tableau expert initially but will also be instrumental in evaluating and migrating to a new BI tool as we grow. Candidates will ensure client trust in data products through accuracy, availability, and reliability in service delivery. 

This position is fully on-site, located at our Royal Oak, MI office. All candidates must reside within the Metro Detroit area to be eligible for consideration.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust BI solutions using BI tools such as Tableau.
• Reconcile and analyze data sources to identify patterns, opportunities, and potential risks associated with lead generation and hiring strategies.
• Ensure client data is secure through row-level security and enterprise deployment techniques.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments (Marketing Ops, Sales, Call Center, Paid Media, and Campaign Ops) to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable insights.
• Provide expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and data management best practices.
• Ensure best practices for BI development are followed throughout the team.
• Mentor junior BI engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest BI trends and technologies, recommending and evaluating new tools to improve our data infrastructure and capabilities.
• Lead the migration from Tableau to a new BI tool, managing the process and ensuring a smooth transition.

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or in a similar role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Tableau with experience creating complex and interactive dashboards.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.8+ years experience writing SQL queries and comfortable writing complex queries.
• Experience with dbt or similar data transformation tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with basic statistical methods (e.g., regression, statistical significance)
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and design principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, translating complex data insights for non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS).
• Exposure to other BI tools and technologies.
• Experience in migrating data infrastructure and tools.
• Experience with Python, R, or similar programming languages.
