CEDAR GROVE LAW is a law firm founded in 2020 that focuses on business planning, estate planning, farm and land succession, and disputes and litigation in these areas. We’re looking to add another legal mind to help us grow our practice.This new role with our firm will serve our business and estate planning clients and will do some heavy lifting on the business contracts and estate planning files. This role may also be pivotal in our venture into real estate closings, if the skill set matches. As with all our positions, the person in this role will be expected to bring a curious mind and eagerness for continuous process improvement -- think automations, integrations, and AI.Requirements• North Carolina licensed attorney with no history of reprimand or suspension• 1+ years of solid experience practicing law (or being a paralegal before becoming an attorney) in Business Planning, Estate Planning, Estate Administration, or Real Estate• Demonstrated experience in client/customer service – yes, we mean before law school – At CGL, we value down-to-earth, read-a-room kinda people• Ability to work paperless – we are a paperless office (except for estate planning signings, of course)• Tech-savvy – we have lots of fancy software and apps and this role must exploit themAbout the RoleThis can be an in-office or hybrid-remote role. It’s designed to be a full-time role, but for the right attorney, we could be flexible. There is an expectation that you regularly attend team meetings and client meetings as needed at our office in Hillsborough, NC. So, this is NOT a fully remote position. We prefer someone immersed in our Orange/Alamance/Chatham/Durham Counties area.
