Position Summary : Scope: LATAM region. Responsible for space optimization and efficient distribution of vessel allocations pertaining to each service, according to Trade and Line Management priorities.

This position will : Ensure effective cargo routing: shortest possible transit time at the lowest cost to ultimately provide outstanding customer service. Maximize all vessels to 100% fill factor of the given allocation in TEUs, weight, moves and plugs (when in reefer season). In charge of following services: register, organize, analyze, and export all information pertaining to the vessels, routings, bookings, containers, and all data in general that will be needed for CF purposes. Monitor and analyze CMA CGM bookings for Pacific regions considering all aspects of the vessel allocation and trade priorities. Check situation at the bottlenecks of the service (Draft, Moves, changes of rotation). Review departure Baplie files from the Planners or terminals after vessels leave each loading port and report the final loading figures on the CF report and compare it to the forecast. Coordinate empty evacuation with the Logistics Department aiming to achieve a 100% TEU utilization. Efficiently manage overbooked situations on vessels and proactively provide clear breakdown of situation to Trade Manager along with a list of possible courses of action and pros/cons for each. State a CF suggestion. Coordinate with Agencies, confirm their allocation, monitor their bookings and in case we need to roll cargo over other vessels or services provide the corresponding instructions. Monitor transshipments volumes.

Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent and three (3) years of experience in related position in shipping industry Must have three (3) years of experience in knowledge of dangerous goods, two (2) years of experience with allocation management and coordination; two (2) years of experience with shipping customer support; and one (1) year experience in operational knowledge on berth windows, moves availability, container cycles and management of cargo left behind. *Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the time within normal commuting distance from office in Miami, FL.
