Cargo Flow Director

We are looking for Cargo Flow Director to join our amaZing team in Norfolk, US.

The objective of this role is to effectively manage the three key pillars of cargo flow - Capacity Control, Demand Forecasting, and Network Optimization - within the North American region. By doing so, the role aims to enhance operational efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize yield.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Identify and resolve bottlenecks (overbooking, miss connection, capacity issues)
• Monitor real-time bookings and loadings, ensuring allocation compliance and managing abnormalities.
• Maximize utilization while gatekeeping for the vessel allocations for all entities.
• Promote synchronization between Trade, Log, Ops, and Planners at regional and global levels.
• Lead booking forecast process to support decision making.
• Plan import/export T/S connections and manage roll over.
• Safeguard and prioritize T/S cargo as per procedure.
• Cargo Matching, by defining a commercial calendar and implementing a forward-looking matching plan.
• Prioritize cargo during equipment shortages.
• Work to maximize and optimize each voyage loadings and overall utilization while coordinating Planners, Trade, Country and Logistics

• Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in the transportation industry, experience in cargo flow management or related field.
• Strong Excel Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• Proficient in data analysis and forecasting.
