Since January 2024 we are now part of the NX Group and later in Q4 2024 we will relocate from our Carol Stream location to E. Touhy Ave, Des Plaines. Job Description: Daily handling of business cases in the area of air cargo import shipments in accordance with USA regulations and cargo-partner standards and procedures.


The position's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Handle A-Z [excluding quoting] USA import shipments for internal and agent routed business
  • Manage work flow. Advise Air Import Manager of issues
  • Monitor shipment profitability.
  • Follow INCOTERMS
  • Communicate with clients, agents, and cargo-partner offices to confirm new shipments, advise transport details , and provide updates throughout the transport
  • Open files within our SPOT tracking system and in Cargowise
  • Issue arrival notices
  • Excellent carrier/vendor negotiation skills
  • Dispatch and communicate with truckers for cargo pick-up and delivery
  • Issue freight invoices upon departure and input vendor costs.


Personal Qualifications:
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow while meeting daily deadlines
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Dynamic team player with eagerness to deliver solid customer service
  • Willingness to take initiative and go above and beyond to ensure all customers’ needs are meet


Air Import skills and Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years air import experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Email)
  • Prior experience with Cargowise preferred but not mandatory
  • Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Planning, Time Management, Reporting, Documentation, Billing, Data Entry


$52,000 - $60,000 a year
