Carotek - Outside Technical Sales Account Manager Trainee - SC, GA, TN, NC or VA

Carotek Inc., a manufacturer's representative partner company of Endress+Hauser Inc., is looking for energetic and self-driven individuals to train to become Account Managers (Outside Technical Sales). Training will take place in their Business Development Center in Matthews, NC for 18-24 months. Carotek offers a paid (salary) training program that will prepare you for a successful career in technical sales, selling products ranging from instrumentation equipment, valves, pumps, blowers, process skids, mechanical equipment, and more. Upon completion of the training, you will be assigned a territory in the Southeast (VA, NC, SC, TN, or GA) and be promoted to Account Manager. At this point, the position becomes 100% remote and commission can be earned. It is realistic to say your salary will be in the six figures at this stage of the career. The role is to identify potential customer decision makers, to share and learn pertinent information while delivering sales talks by telephone and describe technical products and services that will ultimately lead to developing and growing sales with new and existing customers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Increasing Carotek’s name recognition with new and existing customers via outbound calls

  • Identifying new business opportunities through the use of sales management tools, networking and cold calling

  • Identifying decision makers and cultivating relationships in the technical manufacturing field

  • Discussing technical products and services with new and existing customers…and more

Qualifications:

  • Have a desire to pursue a career in sales

  • Bachelor's degree (Associate degree graduates will also be considered) in Engineering, including Engineering Technology, or a Business related major

  • Strong selling, communication, problem solving, and excellent time management skills

  • Telephone sales experience or previous sales internship in an industrial environment preferred, but not required

  • Willingness to relocate to a territory in SC, TN, NC, GA or VA within 1-2 years after completion of program

  • Training will take place in Matthews, NC (just outside Charlotte)
