The Problems You’ll Solve 

At Carta, our employees set out on a mission to unlock the power of equity ownership for more people in more places. We believe that the problems we solve today unlock the opportunities of tomorrow. As a Sr. Accounts Receivable Accountant you’ll work to: 

  • Work with customers on current and past due invoices to ensure timely payment
  • Routine collection efforts to major customers with past due invoices including internal communication and written correspondence
  • Account billing, invoicing, and subscription management based on executed contracts and order forms
  • Manage past due invoice escalation process including reporting to management the status of past due invoices
  • Work closely with sales organization to resolve any customer-related concerns
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers
  • Respond to customer and internal inquiries in a timely manner and with a helpful and productive response
  • Other basic accounts receivable functions such as receiving customer payments, credit memos, maintenance of customer accounts, monthly KPI reporting and other duties as assigned
  • Perform month-end reconciliations of accounts receivable accounts
  • Audit Support - AR confirmations, provide evidence of cash receipts and accurately interpret associated contracts.

The Team You’ll Work With

You’ll be joining our accounting team with other team members who specialize in billings and collections. This is a team that works together to support our sales organization, find new and efficient ways to bill and collect, support billings and collections for new business units, and bill and collect over $10million per month.

The Impact You’ll Have

This role will help improve our operating cash burn by ensuring that we are able to collect from our customers in a timely manner - contributing to the operating efficiency and profitability of Carta.

This role is open to both Accountants and Senior Accountants. The final level will be determined based on performance throughout the interviews and years of experience.You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Have 3+ years experience of accounts receivable, collections, customer service or related field required
  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Are self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Possess strong problem solving skills
  • Have a basic understanding of accounting
  • Demonstrate intermediate Excel skills (pivot table, sum-ifs and lookups at a minimum)

The following experience is preferred but not required:

  • SaaS industry experience
  • Subscription billing / revenue experience
  • Experience with Zuora, Salesforce, Netsuite and YayPay
