There are many reasons to build your career at Carter's.HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:This role reports into the Senior Merchant of Carter’s Baby Seasonal and is based in our Buckhead office.35% Style Set up/System Management• Utilize reports and systems to create hindsight decks and specialized business reports.• Manage FlexPLM inputs, product hang/fold codes & packaging - ensuring data input is accurate and up to date20%: SBU Strategy• Lead business "take-aways" and "deep dives" to support new strategy development and improve existing ones.• Partner with manager to develop and manage seasonal line structure.• Develop a strong understanding of the marketplace, recognizing trends and how they relate to our brand.• Maintain awareness of the competition, understanding flow cadence, product assortment, and make/value equation. Deliver selling recaps to cross-functional teams.15% Sample Management• Assist in sample management, sample check-in, sample closet organization, and presentation set/clean up10%: Costing, Pricing, Margin Management• Manage SBU cost tools, analyze margins & deliver revenue goals based on financial plans.10% Store Visual & Site Direction• Partner with manager and team to manage store blueprints, pre-season marketing guidance and site priorities.10% Team Development• Partner with manager and cross functional teams to develop brand strategies to fit the needs of all channels (stores, eCommerce, wholesale, & international).• Communicate product changes and updates to cross functional teamsWE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:Must have:• 1-2 years of experience in fashion merchandising, retail sales, or buying• Strong knowledge of retail metrics to effectively analyze results across channels and markets• Bachelor’s Degree requiredPreferred skills and experience:• Proficient with Microsoft office Suite• Strong product knowledge and presentation skills• Detail-oriented and organized• Ability to manage and prioritize workloadOUR TEAM MEMBERS:• Lead Courageously: Have a strong sense of personal values that align with our Company values• Collaborates Broadly: Build cooperation, trust, and thrive in a consensus driven environment• Customer Focus: Proactively seek opportunities to leverage data and fact-based insights to serve customers and/or internal clients• Drive Growth: Set aggressive goals and implement plans precisely• Cultivates Innovation: Respectfully challenge the "we’ve always done it this way" mentality and explore new ways to achieve desired outcomesMAKE A CAREER AT CARTER’S:Career Development: Success starts from within, and we have several paths from which you can choose to enhance your career evolution.
