Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and reliable gas station clerk to join our team. The gas station clerk will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patrons, operating the cash register, restocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers as they enter the gas station and assist them with their needs

Operate the cash register to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently

Accept payments, make change, and issue receipts as needed

Maintain a clean and organized store, including restocking shelves and merchandise displays

Answer customer questions and provide product recommendations

Ensure that all merchandise is properly labeled and priced

Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure the safety of customers and employees

Perform daily cash reconciliation and report any discrepancies to the manager

Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven experience as a gas station clerk or in a similar role

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately

Knowledge of basic math skills and ability to make change

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
