CENTURY 21

Century 21 the iconic retailer and purveyor of off-price luxury fashion has teamed with Legends to introduce a revitalized shopping experience to the Century 21st faithful local and global fans. This partnership will bring fans of the iconic brand an enhanced shopping experience in-store and online. The re-opened Cortlandt Street location will span the four main floors of the original downtown space and will offer men’s, women’s and children’s designer apparel, footwear, outerwear, handbags accessories and fragrances.

THE ROLE

As a Sales/Cashier, you will drive sales and service through Century 21’s Core Values. All register complex activities related to purchases, returns, and exchanges are under your responsibilities. Furthermore, activities related to selling and service, merchandise standards, store maintenance, and shortage prevention are additional responsibilities you will have as a Sales/Cashier.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Demonstrate “Amaze” values to exceed customers’ expectations.
• Deliver an “Amazing” transaction at the checkout and with your interactions on the selling floor.
• Drive sales to achieve monthly, seasonal, and annual performance goals by executing our strategies.
• Recovery, replenishment, and signing standards are all part of your responsibilities. Participation in operational tasks as needed, such as inventory, stockroom maintenance.
• Continually Improve your handling of transactions and awareness of Century 21 policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
• Interact effectively with key store executives in Operations, Store Merchandising/Visual, and Loss Prevention to ensure overall execution and understanding of company directives.
• Ensure the utilization of the Century 21 guest to cashier ratio standard to ensure appropriate levels of customer service.
• Utilize bank-line and register merchandise to drive multiple unit sales.
• Maintain a high level of shortage awareness.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Minimum of 1-3 years of retail experience.
• 4-year college degree preferred.
• Results oriented, passionate, and shows a strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to build partnerships with other TMs, members of Management and Merchant team.
• Ability to train and mentor.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communications skills.
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to exemplifying the Century 21 Core Values.

COMPENSATION $18 - $20

Competitive hourly wage, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
