Role & Responsibilities
- Utilize various available analytic tools to identify local market intelligence and opportunities – consumer shifts/trends, channel dynamics, key account dynamics, etc.
- Has a thorough understanding of and oversees the analysis and dissemination of POS/consumption data, for internal review and incorporating into customer material
- Oversees, develops, and maintains fact-based customer presentations with input from Marketing, R&D/Innovation and Sales leadership
- Creates and crafts data driven selling stories for brands, products that our Sales team can utilize to win in the market
- Stays up to date on industry trends, competitive activity and changing shopper behaviors through industry publications, events and insights reports
- Proactively identifies new industry merchandising strategies and innovation to define the look of success in market for BBCO
- Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
- Works alongside Sales Planning to create go to market strategy for the enterprise with input from Marketing, Finance and Sales
- Contributes to the annual business plan process providing leadership guidance on effective promotions, sales trends and consumer shopping behavior that achieve BBCO objectives
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, data analytics or related experience
- 5-7 years consumer goods industry experience with exposure to retailers required
- Must be proficient in IRI, Nielsen or SPINs syndicated data
- Strong analytical, planning, prioritization, and project management competencies
- Exceptional communication skills, including presenting, writing and collaboration abilities
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment are a must
- Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate cross department networking
- Conscientious, strong attention to detail, self-starting
- Creative mind, not afraid to question and improve the “status quo”
- Strong conceptual thinking and design critiquing skills
- People management experience strongly preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Travel up to 10%. Travel will be mainly quarterly travel to headquarters in Utah.
