Patient Financial Advisor (Per Diem) ED - Credit DepartmentWho You Are:Catholic Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic professional with experience in patient collections and a strong ability to engage in financial discussions. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are skilled at handling sensitive patient information with care. Your communication skills and proactive approach to resolving financial concerns make you a valuable resource in the Emergency Department.What You'll Do:• Verify patient addresses and insurance eligibility using electronic verification systems during Emergency Department registrations.• Collect appropriate fees, including copayments, from patients or their representatives at the point of discharge (via check, cash, or credit card).• Discuss financial options with patients who have no insurance coverage.• Maintain a daily activity log to track all patient interactions.• Assist in screening patients for Medicaid or charitable care assistance as necessary.What You'll Bring:• High school diploma or equivalent.• Minimum of one year of collection experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.• Ability to handle sensitive financial discussions professionally and empathetically.• Bilingual skills preferred but not required.Who we are:Catholic Medical Center ("CMC") is a nonprofit, regional health system committed to delivering the highest quality and most advanced healthcare to patients across New Hampshire.
