OverviewPrimary Focus:The Web App Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining software and applications. This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.About Cayuse Native Solutions, LLC:Cayuse Native Solutions provides innovative and flexible technology solutions to Native Nations, tribal entities, Native-owned businesses, and organizations that serve Indigenous communities, including Native Hawaiian groups. Core services include digital marketing (websites, graphic design social media, video projects), mobile applications (Camp Crier mobile app, convention apps, custom apps), custom app programming, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS/drone) service and UAS pilot training, and business support services such as IT support and IT equipment sourcing.ResponsibilitiesWork solo (under mentor guidance) or as part of a team to develop mobile and desktop applicationsDevelop, maintain, debug, and troubleshoot applications.Work with clients and a project team to gather and analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into client solutions.Contribute to development workstreams, from design through testing and deployment.With project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort and help set a realistic schedule for development to meet client needs.Maintain effective client relations and rapport - delivering timely and relevant information with the ability to quickly identify and report project risks.Post-delivery - assists client teams in supporting the live application and perform handoff and knowledge transfer activities, positioning clients for long term success.Assist with growing the CNS programming team and programming services.Support Cayuse outreach and marketing efforts by communicating with potential clients in tradeshows, meetings and other events.Other duties assigned.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.At least 1 year experience in software and/or application programming.Experience with multiple programming languages and platforms, such as React Native, C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and SQL. Mobile app development experienced desired.Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.Minimum Skills:Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.Agile development knowledge.Ability to communicate effectively with both clients and technical staff.Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and be creative within a team.Possess excellent planning, time management and prioritization skills.Ability to respond effectively and timely to clients.Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks.Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.Must be a self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriatelyReports to:CNS Executive Managing DirectorWorking Conditions:Professional remote office environment.Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties while standing for extended periods of time.Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
